Central to this design - by environmental development consultants Planit - is the re-establishment of Henry Square. Planit's design has allowed for the redevelopment of the Square into a contemporary urban space, inspired by European cities. The design includes new trees, lawns and greenspaces, pedestrian walkways, street lighting and furniture, public artwork and water features.

The focus on the design of the public space has been an essential part of the Ask approach to St Petersfield. It has created a vibrant environment that will benefit both the local community and businesses located in this dynamic urban business quarter, as well as bringing a new heart to Ashton-under-Lyne itself.
